The Kings We Are

So this is a novel that I wrote, wow, over four years ago. And a little less than four years ago, I got a call from an editor at Time Warner Books who expressed interest in buying it. What followed was an absolutely incredible tale of strife and sacrifice, of tragedy and comedy, that, unfortunately, proved waaaaay more interesting than the novel itself. Suffice to say, it remains unsold.

But the story doesn’t end there, gentle reader. For now that I have Blog Power behind me, it is time for a complete re-write of this bitch. I’m gonna go chapter-by-chapter to see what I have to work with; the good, the bad, and the worser. I’m also thinking of changing it from first person to third, so, yeah.

This could take awhile.

Chapter 1

Chapter 2

Chapter 3

  1. I just polished off a whole bag of peanut butter M&Ms (the jumbo kind, of course) reading the mysteries inside that little stick that used to hang on your wall. How is it possible to concentrate on Scrubs marathons when all those new words are hanging on that tiny stick right behind the screen? I liked it. Let more words out of the stick, please.
